Hi, I’m Kelly
I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with over seven years of experience working with young children. Most of that time in Montessori environments. I am a proud mother of two wonderful boys, who among other things, inspire me every day.
I completed my ECE schooling in 2012 and started working soon after. I spent time at a number of private Montessori schools all in the York Region Area until 2018 when I got married. As I stepped into motherhood, I decided that my son, deserved 100% of my attention. It took work, but my husband and I figured out a way. We decided I was stepping away from work until both my boys were ready for school.
Fast forward 8 years, and we’re here.
Working with children has always been something I deeply enjoy. It’s a meaningful and sometimes demanding profession, but seeing children laugh, play, and discover new things makes it incredibly rewarding. Those moments remind me why this work is so important. With my two boys settled in school, I decided, operating a little school and childcare of my own, is the new chapter I want to devote my time to.
My goal is to create a warm and supportive environment where every child feels capable, loved and excited to learn. Through purposeful play, hands on learning and encouragement, I hope to achieve that.

My Approach
1. How do I identify strengths and weaknesses? I observe quietly and often. Strengths and areas for growth are identified through ongoing observation, documentation, and reflection. Each child is carefully observed during daily routines, play, and interactions to understand their interests, abilities, and developmental progress. 2. How do I enable growth? Gentle support. Through a responsive, child-centered approach that recognizes each child’s unique developmental path. By creating a nurturing and engaging environment, we provide opportunities for children to build on their strengths while being gently supported in areas that need further development. 3. The ELECT Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT). It is Ontario’s guideline for early childhood education, designed to guide educators in supporting the development and learning of children from birth to age 8. It emphasizes a holistic approach, recognizing the interconnection between social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. I make use of this framework throughout my practice. 4. How do I communicate with the parents to continue growth at home? Communication with families is key. I work closely with parents to ensure consistency between home and the program. Upon enrollment, parents will be invited to join an app I will be using to monitor daily progress and activities.Simple ideas
